Before joining Rest of World, she covered Latin America for BuzzFeed News, Newsweek, and The New York Times, with a focus on politics, social movements, and technology. Her reporting at BuzzFeed News was recognized by the Overseas Press Club of America and she was a finalist for the Livingston Award. She holds a masters degree in journalism from Columbia University.
