Yan Cong is a researcher and visual storyteller based in Amsterdam. She researches diasporic experiences mediated through digital media, algorithmic visibility on platforms, and internet infrastructures. She previously worked as a photojournalist and video producer in China, and her work has been published by The New York Times, The Washington Post, Vice, and De Correspondent, among others.
