Nilesh Christopher was the South Asia reporter at Rest of World. He covers the interplay between technology and human lives in India and elsewhere. He was a part of the team that won the SOPA 2022 award for excellence in regional technology reporting for “The Global Gig Workers” project. Besides Rest of World, he has written for publications like Wired, BBC, Vice, South China Morning Post, and The Economic Times. He was selected as a 2025 Nieman Foundation fellow, holds a post graduate diploma from the Asia College of Journalism in India, and a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering.
