Barkha Dutt
Barkha Dutt is a regular contributor to Rest of World. Based in Delhi, India, she is an Emmy-nominated journalist and founding editor of the multimedia platform Mojo Story, a columnist for the Washington Post, and the author of two books, “This Unquiet Land: Stories from India’s Fault Lines” and “Humans of Covid: To Hell and Back.” She has more than 23 years of experience as an anchor and reporter, having reported on war and conflict with special expertise in Jammu and Kashmir and India-Pakistan relations, and hosted the programs We The People, Buck Stops Here, and Democracy Live. Her awards include the Padmashri, the Asian TV award for Best Presenter and Best TV Show, the Association of International Broadcasting Award for Journalist of the year and the World Economic Forum's Global Leader for Tomorrow. She has a bachelor's degree from St Stephen's College, Delhi, a Masters from M.C.R.C Jamia Millia, and a Master's in Journalism from Columbia University.
