Victoria Turk
Victoria Turk was the features director for Rest of World. Prior to her work here she was the features editor at Wired UK, technology editor at New Scientist, and UK editor at Vice’s Motherboard and has written for numerous publications.
Works that Victoria edited for Rest of World have been recipients of awards from the Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA), the National Magazine Awards (ASME), the SABEW Best in Business Awards, South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA), and more. She wrote an influential feature about stereotyping in AI image generators, and helmed the Rest of World’s AI Elections Tracker, a project to chronicle the impact of AI-generated content on elections around the world. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Oxford University and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and is based in London.
